What is Argan Oil?
Argan Oil comes from the argan tree, which grows in Southwest Morocco. Argan oil is extracted from the kernels of argan fruit. This cosmetic argan oil is extracted from unroasted kernels and is applied directly to the skin or hair. It has rejuvenating benefits for hair and skin by boosting and encouraging new cell growth.
The composition of essential fatty acids (Omega 3, 6, and 9) and vitamin E gives Argan Oil moisturizing properties and the potential to improve skin’s hydration. Its high concentration of antioxidants and vitamin E helps neutralize free radicals and prevent oxidative damage to pigment cells.
The benefits of Argan oil rival that of luxury cosmetics and skin care products. Argan oil is a better solution for your organic skin routine.

How it’s made
The fruit of the argan tree is small, and round, oval, or conical. A thick peel covers the fleshy pulp. The pulp surrounds a hard-shelled nut that represents about 25% of the weight of the fresh fruit.
The nut contains one to three argan oil-rich kernels. Extraction yields from 30% to 50% of the oil in the kernels, depending on the extraction method. To extract the kernels, workers first dry argan fruit in the open air and then remove the fleshy pulp.
The next stage involves cracking the argan nut to obtain the argan kernels. Berber women still do it by hand, making it a time-consuming, labour-intensive process.
The decanted argan oil is left to rest about two weeks so that solids suspended in the argan oil settle to the bottom, creating a natural sediment. The clearer argan oil is further filtered, depending on the required clarity and purity.
